Dear Patient,

Do you frequently suffer from a strong urge to urinate that you can’t suppress?
Do you have to visit the toilet often – even several times during the night?
Do you have persisting severe pain in the lower abdomen?
Do you feel that these things are seriously affecting your quality of life?

All of these may be signs of a chronic form of cystitis. Chronic forms of cystitis are marked by the following symptoms that can occur with varying degrees of severity:

  • Frequent bladder voiding:
On average, everyone goes to the toilet about 7 times a day. Patients with chronic forms of cystitis have to pass water much more often – in extreme cases up to 60 times during the day and up to 40 times at night. Often, thinking about the next visit to the toilet overshadows the entire day’s activities and destroys their pleasure in life.
  • Strong, difficult-to-suppress urge to urinate:
The feeling of having to get to a toilet immediately is strong and difficult to suppress. This feeling is often accompanied by the fear of not reaching the toilet on time.
  • Persisting pain in the pelvic region
The pain in the pelvic region is often perceived as a cutting kind. It is frequently persistent and varies in intensity. Sometimes the pain experienced when emptying the bladder and during sexual intercourse is even more severe.

The symptoms can occur separately or together and with various degrees of severity.
